Youth Exchange project "Creativity in peace-building"


ICPI was the hosting and one of the coordinating organization of the youth exchange project "Creativity in peace-building", within YIA programme. Down u can see the short description of the project:

                                                               15-22 October, 2012





International youth exchange - “Creativity in Peace - Building” took place  place in sea resort of Georgia - Kobuleti, between  15-22 October,  2012.The project duration was 8 days (including arrival and departure), gathered 40 young people from 8 post Soviet Union and ex-communist countries, from EU and EECA: Romania, Latvia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Portugal and Russia.
The learning methods were through non-formal and in-formal education.We used various activities, such as: group discussion/presentations, role-plays, intercultural evenings, team-building activities, peaceful demonstration involving local communities and other creative activities.

An efficient partnership and shared responsibilities made this project successful. All partners were working together on the all stages of the project reporting to each other the progress in the areas they were responsible for.

The main responsibility of the applicant organization was putting the application together with the help of their partners and communication with the National Agency.

The hosting organization main responsibility was local arrangements of the facilitation, accommodation, food and transportation.

Both applicant and hosting organizations were working with partners before the beginning of the project to ensure that all participants and sending organizations were informed about the aims and objectives of the Youth Exchange.


There were some more important activities, like as “public demonstarion” in the city center of Batumi. Participants were spreading little brochures about youth in action program and EVS in particular. They made flashmob and other different activities.

Excursion in old capital of Georgia was very useful to find out historical heritage of hosting country. Other participants also had chance to present there culture and traditions during cultural evenings, which was held every night during the whole project.

Other important part was visiting school during project, it was old school, and there have never been foreigners, children, studying there had seen and met them first time in their life and it was one of the unforgettable moment in their life.

It was very useful project according to the feedback of participants. All of them where happy that they have learned how much they can do for there society.

Youth Policy Consultation by ICPI

In October Ministry of sport and youth had iniciative to develope youth policy in Georgia, so every organzation could take responsibility and make consultations with different youth.
ICPI took part in it of course and made consultations in Tbilisi and Koda.
In Tbilisi ICPI met with young people who are actively involved in non-govermental sector, and in Koda with youth (also with refugees) who are very interested in different fields of everyday active life. here are some nice photoes from these consultation:

                                              YOUTH EXCHANGE PROJECT (3.1)
                                                             Qobuleti , Georgia

                                                               10-17 December


Youth exchange “Connecting generations via volunteering” took place in Kobuleti, Georgia from 10 to 17 December 2011. The project has gather 40 youngsters from 8 European Union and Neighboring countries : Sweden, Georgia, Latvia, Turkey, Moldova, Ukraine, Netherlands and Spain.

The theme of the project was solidarity between generations and the ways of improving it by volunteering. There were five main objectives of the project:

- Promote volunteering and motivate youngsters to be active in voluntary work.
- Stimulate a better understanding and solidarity between different generations.
- Detect problems in the inter-generational communication and find solutions for better involvement based on experiences in participating countries.
- Promote the European year 2011 for Volunteering and 2012 for active ageing and solidarity between generations.
- Enhance partnership between different organizations on the topic of generation communication and voluntary work within Youth in Action.

Workshops and activities were planned in order to insure the achievement of those goals. During the project activities participants detected the problems in maintaining the connection between generations and find possible improvements in the problem areas using volunteering platform. The activities were based on international group workshops, as well as simulation game and debates with the local organizations that deal with adults and voluntary activities.

Also Participants of the project had chance to work as volunteers in the old people house. They made different activities for them: art therapy, dancing lessons, singing, legend telling and so on… Finally they organized little show, presenting the results of the workshops. At the end of the activity all the participants were glad that they have made something important , they made one typical day of old people smiley and happy. It was very useful experience for them.

There were some more important activities, like as “grand poem” project in the city center of Batumi. Participants were spreading little brochures about youth in action program and EVS in particular. It was nice promotion as local media made some reports.

„მშიდობისა და ინტეგრაციის საერთაშორისო ცენტრი“ (ICPI)

                                                 მოკლე აღწერილობა
მშიდობისა და ინტეგრაციის საერთაშორისო ცენტრი არის ახლად დაარსებული არაკომერციული არასამთავრობო ორგანიზაცია. ICPI შეიქმნა ახალგაზრდების ინიციატივით, რომელთაც აქვთ 5-6 წლიანი სამუშაო გამოცდილება არასამთავრობო სექტორში. ორგანიზაციის მთავარი მისიაა მხარი დაუჭიროს სოციალურად აქტიურ ახალგაზრდებს, ინტეგრაციასა და მშვიდობის დამყარების პროცესებს, ხელი შეუწყოს უფრო განვითარებული, განათლებული და თანამედროვე საზოგადოების შექმნას. ორგანიზაციის მიზანია  ხელი შუეწყოს ახალგაზრდების სულიერ, პერსონალურ და საგანმანათლებლო განვითარებას, მხარი დაუჭიროს აქტიური მოქალაქეობის იდეისა და მოხალისეობის განვითარებას ადგილობრივ და ევროპის დონეზე, საერთაშორისო ურთიერთობების გაღრმავებასა და თანამშრომლობის დამყარებას საქართველოსა და სხვა ევროპულ ქვეყნებს შორის.

მშვიდობისა და ინტეგრაციის საერთაშორისო ცენტრი მუშაობს სხვადასხვა სოციალური, საგანმანათლებლო და კულტურული მიმართულებებით სხვადასხვა ჯგუფებთან, როგორიც არიან: ბავშვები, ახალგაზრდები, სტუდენტები, დევნილები და ..  ორგანიზაცია თანამშრომლობს სხვადასხვა ევროპულ ორგანიზაციებთან და აქტიურადაა ჩართულიახალგაზრდობა მოქმედებაში“ (Youth in Action) პროგრამაში, ევროკომისიის ფარგლებში.

ორგანიზაცია ახორციელებს სხვადასხვა აქტივობებს ადილობრივ დონეზე, როგირცაა: მოხალისეობის, EVS-ის პრომოუშენი, საქველმოქმედო აქცია, ფლეშ-მობები, კონსულტაციები ახალგაზრდების სხვადასხვა ჯგუფებთან ახალგაზრდული პოლიტიკის განვითარების პროგრამის ქვეშ, სპორტისა და ახალგაზრდობის სამინისტროსთან თანამშრომლობით და სხვადასხვა სოციალური აქტივობები.

მშვიდობისა და ინტეგრაციის საერთაშორისო ცენტრს განხორციელებული აქვს რამდენიმე პროექტი:

  • საქართველოს ხმა“ - ჩეხურ არასამთავრობო ორგანიზაცია Be International-თან პარტნიორობით;
  • ახალგაზრდული გაცვლითი პროგრამამოხალისეობა მშვიდობიანი მომავლისათვის“ - პროგრამაახალგაზრდობა მოქმედებაში“-ის ფარგლებში, ევროკომისია;
  • ახალგაზრდული გაცვლითი პროგრამა - „მოხალისეობა - აკავშირებს თაობებს“ - პროგრამაახალგაზრდობა მოქმედებაში“-ის ფარგლებში, ევროკომისია;

ICPI დაფუძნდა ახალგაზრდული ასოციაციადრონისბაზაზე, 2011 წლის 2 თებერვალს.

ICPI (International center for Peace and Integration) ENG

                                           Short   Information about ICPI


International Centre for Peace and Integration - ICPI is a newly developed non-governmental non-profit youth organization founded by the young people with 5-6 years of working experience in NGO sector. The main mission of ICPI is to support socially active youngsters, promote integration and contribute peace-building processes, to give a hand to create more active, educated and modern society. The organization aims to support young people’s personal, educational and spiritual development, to promote the idea of active citizenship and importance of volunteering, deepen intercultural relations and build partnership between Georgia and other European countries.

International Centre for Peace and Integration - ICPI is working in different social, educational and cultural fields with different target groups such as: children, youth, students, refugees, etc. Organization cooperates with different NGOs in Europe and is actively involved in Youth in Action Programme, by European Commission.

The organization has been providing different activities on: promoting volunteering, European Voluntary Service, charity actions, social activities for youth, flash-mobs, consultations with youngsters for developing the youth policy in Georgia, etc.

ICPI has implemented several projects:

·         “Voice of Georgia” – Cooperating with Czech NGO – Be International;

·         Youth Exchange - “Volunteers for Peaceful Future” – Youth in Action Programme, European Commission (CZ-31-027-2011-R3);

·         Youth Exchange “Volunteering – connecting generations” - Youth in Action Programme, European Commission; (SE-31-31-2011-R4 )


ICPI was established on the basis of Youth Association DRONI on 1st of February, 2011.
